The editorial board of the Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics (SJES) annually selects an article from the papers published in the journal during the previous calendar year. The main criteria are the rigor, originality and societal relevance of the analysis presented in the winning paper. The author(s) of the selected article receive a framed Best Paper Award, an invite as a special guest to the Society’s annual congress, and a monetary prize.
