Economic Journalism Award

The Swiss Society of Economics and Statistics recognizes outstanding economic journalism in Switzerland with an award. This award can honour a journalist’s overall work, a particular media format or an individual piece of reporting. The key criteria are a focus on the Swiss economy and a grounding in economic theory and/or rigorous empirics. At the beginning of every year, the entire membership of the Society is invited to make nominations. The members of the Society’s Board then review the nominations and decide on the winner. The awardee receives a framed document and an invite as a special guest to the Society’s annual congress.
